Columbia River Occupational Health is a locally-owned and operated business established in 2005 and located in the Salmon Creek area of Vancouver, Washington. We serve the employers and employees of both Southwest Washington and Northwest Oregon regions in their occupational medicine and training needs.
What is Occupational Medicine?
Occupational medicine (OM) is one of the oldest specialties in the US and has roots as far back as ancient Greece. The main emphasis of OM is the interaction between workers and their work, dealing with worksite related injuries, exposures and the prevention of both.
Medical Director
Clinic Manager, MA & OMT
She has been with the clinic since it opened April 2005. She is an Occupational Medicine Technician (OMT) and has been a medical assistant for over 20 years. She has NIOSH, CAOHC, and drug and alcohol test collection certifications. She is a Blood Borne Pathogen Counselor and has worker’s compensation claims management experience. Charise is married and has two daughters and a son. She loves spending time with her family and extended family. She also enjoys circuit training, hiking, volunteer work with her children’s schools and spending time at the family beach cabin in Hansville, WA.
Medical Assistant & OMT
She has 7 years of OM experience and has been a medical assistant for over 16 years. She started with the clinic in June 2008. Her certifications include CAOHC, NIOSH and drug and alcohol test collecting.
Danya lives with her boyfriend. Together they have 4 children and one due the end of September 2015. She enjoys spending time with her family and going to all of her kids activities.
Nurse & OMT
Started with us in October of 2007. Her certifications include CAOHC, NIOSH and drug and alcohol test collecting.
Jennie is married with 3 children. She enjoys being creative; she loves to sew and turning garage sale finds into new pieces for her home (they look like brand new when she is done!) She also enjoys waterskiing and spending time with her family and extended family.
Billing Specialist & Admin Assistant
She started with us Feb 2006. She is also an OMT with 8 years experience in Occupational Medicine. She is drug and alcohol certified and CAOHC certified to assist with client care.
Natalie enjoys hiking, bungee jumping and reading (not necessarily in that order!). She is also a huge Harry Potter fan She is enjoying learning to sew. Natalie also enjoys creating one-of-a-kind sock monkeys for her eight nieces and three nephews.
Certified Medical Assistant
She started with us in July 2012. She has been with CROH for two years and is our main Medical Assistant working with Dr. Thompson to provide patient care.
Michelle lives with her boyfriend, and they are getting ready to purchase a new house together. She has two children. She loves football and cheering on her favorite team,the Seahawks. She also enjoys hiking and is addicted to coffee.
Front Office Administrator
She started in April 2014. She is married and has two daughters. She loves gardening, cooking, sewing, knitting and backpacking or anything outdoors. She has worked in the medical industry for over 5-6 years.
part time/relief Nurse Practitioner
She became an RN in 2002 and ARNP since 2008. She started with us in March 2014. Leanne is also a Certified Medical Examiner for the DOT medical exams. Her interest are running, reading, time with kids and church activities. She has two Boston terriers and a German shepherd lab and a rabbit! Leanne also has three children; two sons and a daughter.
