Hearing

Services We Provide:

  • We offer audiograms by CAOHC certified staff
  • Standard threshold shifts reviews for OSHA logs

Hearing conservation has become increasingly important, as it is now one of the top causes for worker compensation claims. If workers are exposed to an 8-hour average of 85 dB or greater then a hearing conservation program is required.

A hearing conservation program consists of engineering changes to control sound levels, use of appropriate hearing protection, hearing loss monitoring and hearing loss prevention.

How loud is loud? Check out the NIOSH sound meter (requires Flash)

Dr. Thompson can perform STS (standard threshold shifts) reviews for OSHA logs.
