Travel Medicine

Services We Provide:

  • Vaccinations for common infectious conditions, such as Hepatitis A, yellow fever and typhoid
  • Antibiotics to reduce the risk of malaria or traveler's diarrhea

Are you a seasoned traveler, a business traveler, or going on that once-in-a-lifetime vacation? Regardless of your experience, if you are traveling to remote or tropical parts of the world, you may need vaccinations or medications to safeguard your health. The CDC has Health information for travel to over 200 international destinations.

Other concerns for the traveler can include food and mosquito borne illnesses, environmental factors such as pollution, altitude and temperature, cultural issues including women’s dress and safety, and activity related concerns such as dealing with time zone changes and fitness level. Overseas health insurance coverage should not be forgotten.

Please arrange to have your appointment with us at least 3-4 weeks prior to departure, bring your itinerary, your vaccination record, your medications, and any recommendations from your trip organizer.

You must have an appointment to see our physician to receive any travel prescriptions or vaccines.
